A memorial dedicating PASC's field complex in Charlestown Park to club founder and longtime coach, Alex Gojkovich, Sr, took place on Sat., Oct. 24th.
Current and former PASC players, coaches, and board members – and many members of Mr. Gojkovich's family – attended to honor Mr. Gojkovich and share remembrances.
"In reality, this was a re-dedication of these fields to Mr. Gojkovich," said Andre Calilhanna, current board president of PASC. "In 1982, as they were breaking ground for our current complex, the fields were named for Alex – he was already legendary in the area for his contributions to youth soccer."
Typically, we will hold practices in light rain. If field conditions are compromised and determined to be unsafe, or if it is pouring rain, practice will be canceled. Check this website for updates. We will always do our best to update as early as possible if there is to be a cancelation.
In the event of thunder or lightning, all players will be called off the fields and taken to shelter. Play will not resume until 30 minutes after the last thunder clap or lightning strike.
Phoenixville Area Soccer Club (PASC) is adopting new policy regarding concussions based on EPYSA's guidance and program. This policy and changes will be clearly communicated to parents in early 2014.
