Winter Travel Soccer

PASC Winter Travel Soccer

As we navigate these unprecedented times, our club plan continues to evolve as we learn new information and get additional guidance from government and health agencies. PASC is committed to providing a Winter Travel Soccer program that meets the developmental needs of our players AND all Commonwealth and EPYSA guidelines. EPYSA is not sanctioning indoor competition between clubs this winter, and this is a step PASC had already taken with our original winter plan. As always, we are planning our programs with player safety — and everyone's safety — as our #1 priority. Based on recent changes, we have modified our proposed winter programming.

Masked physically distanced indoor training at All Sports Center
Indoor training is scheduled to take place at ASC (1511 W Main St, Collegeville, PA 19426) on Saturdays beginning Jan. 16, 2020 through March 6, 2021. We have reserved a 5-hour block during which we will be the only club in the facility. These training sessions will focus on footwork and skill development for all of our travel soccer players. Sessions will run for one hour.

- Masks will be worn by everyone (coaches, players, staff) at all times.
- ASC is limiting the number of people allowed in the facility. No parents or spectators will be permitted in the facility.
- Temperature checks will be administered to everyone entering the facility.
- Indoor sessions will include no-contact training with physical distancing maintained throughout.

Teams will receive strength and agility training as part of these indoor sessions. In an effort to provide this valuable training element without introducing another indoor facility to our program, we've arranged for the HEAT trainers to work with our athletes at ASC. HEAT maintains the same safety protocols as ASC, all trainers will be masked, and we will ensure these trainers use our established Health and Safety reporting processes, just as we do for our club coaches.

Masked outdoor training and intra-club competition
Outdoor field space is at a premium and PASD (and other school districts) are not currently available for third-party use. Facilities hosting PASC outdoor training include:
1) USTC (United Sports, 1426 Marshallton Thorndale Road, Downingtown, PA 19335)
2) Steelyard Sports (538 Swedeland Road, King of Prussia, PA)

Outdoor sessions will begin the week of January 11th, weather permitting and will include a mix of technical and tactical practice sessions with some contact (players and coaches will remain masked at all times).

We will, of course, follow all mandates set by federal and state government agencies, EPYS, and the individual facilities, so changes to this program will be communicated as necessary.

We appreciate the trust you place in PASC to provide a safe, dynamic, and developmentally sound soccer program for your young athlete. Thank you for your support. We will communicate schedule details in the coming weeks.

Upload Player Documentation for the 2020/2021 Soccer Year

Travel Player registration in GotSport

Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA, the governing body that presides over all travel programs in Eastern PA) is using a NEW GotSport database system this season. ALL players are required to provide a birth certificate and current head shot photo (in jpeg format) in order to be rostered on a team for the 2020-21 season (including returning players). Please upload these documents to the GotSport database by July 23, 2020. Failure to complete this step will prevent a player from being added to the official roster, which allows them to participate in games and tournaments. There is NO charge to this registration.

Follow the steps below to complete your accounts and upload player documents.

Note: This software is not compatible with phones, computers using Chrome (recommended), Firefox, or Safari is best. Explorer is not supported by the software.

1. Click HERE to log on to your account using the email address this email was sent to.

2. Click "Forgot Password" and reset your password (if this is the first time you're logging on).

The first account you see upon log-in is your parent/guardian account — DO NOT update this information to reflect your player's info or upload documents to this account. Players' accounts can be accessed and updated by clicking the "family" icon and selecting the player profile.

3. Once you've established a password, log onto your account and click the "Family" icon in the left navigation.

9. In your player's account, click "Choose File" to upload your player's photo in his/her profile.

10. Click on "Forms" in the top navigation.

11. Click "Available Forms" in the left navigation.

12. Click "Start" on each form (Communicable Disease Agreement and EPYS Player Registration) and fill them out. NOTE: When you click on a form, it takes you off the GotSport platform to "register" the form (at no cost). You should be able to close the tab, return to the original, and continue on to the second form once you've completed the first.

Complete this process for all your players, and make sure to complete your profile and your players' profiles while you're logged on (including making your player's name match his/her name as it appears on their birth certificate, verify date of birth and gender).

Travel Program Information

The travel soccer program is year round and designed to create a positive, healthy environment for teams to grow within all areas of the game. Consistent training has resulted in teams playing an effective style of soccer and has motivated players to individually grow their game within and outside of the team environment. The program is divided in to 4 phases, the Under 8 (Academy), the Under 9 - Under 10 (Travel Academy), Under 11 - Under 14 (Youth Travel) and Under 15 - Under 18 (Senior). Through the program, teams are built to be technically fit, tactically aware, and mentally tough. Each phase has age-specific technical and tactical objectives.

Program Philosophy

Individual player development is the highest priority. Player development is accomplished by teaching players the technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial aspects of soccer in a manner that is both challenging and fun. Team development is accomplished by creating a common appreciation amongst the players for strong effort, healthy competitive attitudes, sportsmanship and teamwork. A team is considered successful if it creates a positive environment for player development.
